David D. Le Norman
President and CEO
Mr. Le Norman has over 30 years of experience in the oil industry ranging from working in field operations as a roustabout, pumper, and as a rig hand on a workover rig. Over 20 years of that experience was as a Petroleum Engineer in various engineering, business development, and management positions for Texaco prior to founding Le Norman Energy in 1995. Since that time Mr. Le Norman has founded Le Norman Partners, Crusader Energy Corporation, Crusader Energy II, LLC, Crusader Energy III, Knight Energy Group, LLC, White River Energy LLC, TLP Energy LLC, and Templar Energy, LLC and also served as a Senior Vice President with Patina Oil & Gas. He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming, master’s work in Chemical Engineering at Oklahoma State University and a M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University.
Jeff M. Nelson
COO & SVP of
Mr. Nelson joined Le Norman in October 2011. He has over 30 years of various drilling, production, and completion experience in the Mid-Continent region, offshore Texas, Wyoming, Illinois, Michigan, and California. Along with being an independent consultant both domestically and internationally, Mr. Nelson has been employed by Unocal, as a Senior Engineer at Mobil, and senior management positions at Ricks Exploration, Chesapeake, and SandRidge. He possesses extensive field experience, working more than half his career as a Rig Supervisor and Field Engineer for many horizontal well plays. Mr. Nelson is a registered, licensed Petroleum Engineer in the State of Oklahoma and holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University.
Joe C. Pukaite
CFO & SVP of Finance
Mr. Pukaite joined Templar Energy in March 2017. He has over 20 years of experience in both financial and operational positions, working in upstream oil and gas, financial and energy services companies. Prior to Templar, Mr. Pukaite was employed by Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas, LLC where he served most recently as Treasurer, overseeing all areas of corporate finance, risk management and serving as principle contact for external stakeholders. Mr. Pukaite received his M.B.A. from Rice University and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University.
Senior Vice President
Mr. McCormick has served as Vice President in the Le Norman companies since January 2007. He has more than 20 years of land management experience in the Mid-Continent region, Texas, Louisiana, and the Williston Basin, managing leasing and drilling plays along with large A&D transactions. Mr. McCormick was previously employed in similar capacities by Ricks Exploration Inc., Concho Oil and Gas, Chesapeake Energy Corporation and Encore Acquisition Company. Mr. McCormick is an active member of the AAPL. Mr. McCormick attended the University of Oklahoma.
Charles L. Mullens, Jr.
Senior Vice President
Mr. Mullens is currently Sr. Vice President, Secretary, and General Counsel of Le Norman Operating and has served in similar capacities with the Le Norman companies since 2005. Mr. Mullens has over 35 plus years of experience in the energy industry. He was an attorney and landman for Samedan Oil Corporation for 17 plus years. Mr. Mullens has practiced oil and gas law and served as a consultant to many independent oil and gas companies. He was a temporary Administrative Law Judge at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and was an adjunct professor in the M.B.A. program at Oklahoma City University. Mr. Mullens holds a B.B.A. in Management from the University of Oklahoma, a M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa.
Mr. Harris joined Le Norman in 2017 as Vice President of Legal. Prior to joining Le Norman, he served over 8 years as in-house counsel for Chesapeake Energy. In this role, he advised the land department on statutory, regulatory, and title related issues. Before entering the oil and gas industry, Mr. Harris was in private practice for 8 years at a commercial law firm in Oklahoma City where he litigated cases at both the state and federal levels. Mr. Harris is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, West Virginia and Colorado. He has also been admitted to the tribal courts of the Cherokee Nation and the Chickasaw Nation. Mr. Harris holds a B. S. from Oklahoma City University and a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma.
Ms. Vermillion joined the Le Norman group in January 2013 as Financial Reporting Manager before moving to her current position as Vice President of Accounting in April 2014. Prior to joining Le Norman, Amanda was an audit manager at Grant Thornton in Oklahoma City. She has over eight years of experience in public accounting serving clients in numerous industries including oil and gas, midstream petroleum marketing and distribution, and others. Her audit experience includes the initial public offering process, quarterly and annual public filings and integrated audits of financial statements and internal controls. Ms. Vermillion is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. She earned a B.S. in Accounting from the Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Mr. Simmons joined Le Norman in August of 2013. Prior to joining Le Norman, he worked for Chesapeake Energy in operations throughout the company. Mr. Simmons served as the Completion and Production Superintendent in the Haynesville Shale play responsible for over 1.5 BCFD gas production and multiple fracture stimulation crews helping to achieve 1 million man-hours without an OSHA recordable safety incident. Over his career, he has been involved in over 1,000 well completions and involved in the drilling and completion of over 200 horizontal wells at Le Norman Operating as Operations Manager. Mr. Simmons is an active member in the API, AADE, SPE, and OIPA organizations. He holds a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma.
